What a night!
It was so much fun welcoming 1,000 of you to our fourth annual GeekWire Gala on Wednesday night, where entrepreneurs, engineers, geeks, and many more from the Seattle community gathered for a holiday celebration at the Museum of History & Industry.

The evening kicked off with a special VIP pre-party for GeekWire members, sponsors, Seattle 10 startups, and Newsmakers of the Year aboard the Steamship Virginia V, a historic wooden-hulled vessel. Thanks to IBM Analytics for sponsoring this fun gathering.
Then it was three hours of networking, eating, drinking, dancing, and an all-around good time at MOHAI, where attendees had a chance to tour museum exhibits, visit a whiskey tasting room sponsored by Ivy Softworks, and stop by the Moz photo booth before ending the night with a fantastic after-party at Art Marble 21.
We also had a chance to honor our 2015 GeekWire Newsmakers of the Year and the Seattle 10, a group of 10 up-and-coming Seattle-area startups who are looking to change the world. Each of these innovative companies — chosen through a judging panel — sketched their business concepts on giant six-foot by six-foot cocktail napkins, and those napkins will made their public debut at the Gala on Wednesday. We’ll show off their cocktail napkin creations later today on GeekWire.
