Ping-pong, prizes and a big crowd of geeks: Scenes from the giant GeekWire Bash

That had to be the best bash yet. And what a final match!

Thanks to the hundreds of you who joined us last night for the GeekWire Ping-Pong & Anniversary Bash — featuring one foosball tournament and two ping-pong tournaments in the middle of a giant party. Team GeekWire has a lot of fun putting on this event every year, and it was great to see such a broad cross-section of people from the Seattle region’s tech community.

A big thanks to our sponsors for making the evening possible. One of the highlights was the Tron-themed conversation lounge in the upper bar area, courtesy of sponsors Filter and Knoll. WhitePages gave out a big lineup of prizes, including a Kindle Fire HD, to people who found the ping-pong balls around venue.

AT&T gave out a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and finalists in the tournaments received coveted gold passes to the Seattle Interactive Conference. Sidecar sponsored the photo booth and offered free rides to and from the venue. Tableau Software presented beer pong in the Barokas Beer Garden. And First Tech Credit Union hosted the free play and warmup area, a new addition to the event this year.

Winners in the ping-pong and foosball brackets received tickets to the Anheuser-Busch suite at an upcoming Sounders game, courtesy of sponsor Budweiser. Ping-pong winners also receive $5,000 in free delivery from Postmates.

The signature “Developer’s Delight” cocktail was courtesy of Vertafore, and those amazing desserts at the end of the night were brought to you by our great development partners at Fresh Consulting.

Congratulations to the spirit prize winner, SEOmoz, which won an indoor skydiving experience for people, courtesy Vitamin T. Outlook.com gave away premium SkyDrive storage and other prizes, The parting gift, a media lounger for holding a smartphone. was provided by thePlatform.
