The Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) revealed the 33 startups based in Washington state participating in its 10th Founder Cohort Program.
The six-month program is virtual and free for seed-stage startups. The WTIA does not take any equity shares of the startup, a key difference from other accelerators. To qualify, startups need to have less than $1 million in annual revenue and at least one product in development.
The program is led by a group of entrepreneurial vets and investors, including serial founder and author Dave Parker, SeaChange Fund managing member Susan Preston, and Graham & Walker founder and general partner Leslie Feinzaig.
The goal of the program is to get early-stage founders up-to-speed on topics including corporate governance, managing a board of directors, fundraising, and customer development. Alumni companies have gone on to raise more than $300 million.
Participants also receive $10,000 worth of Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits and access to mentors and advisors, among other benefits.
A third of the companies in the 10th cohort are led by female CEOs. The program runs from this month to February. Here are the participating startups:
