Vancouver, Wash.-based ZoomInfo will acquire Insent.ai to integrate a chat function into its workflow portfolio. Terms were not disclosed.
ZoomInfo, which went public last year, is a subscription service which offers data on businesses to sales, marketing and recruiting professionals. Insent.ai uses artificial intelligence to allow companies to identify and chat with website visitors in real time.
Insent has 35 employees, and all of which will stay with the company, ZoomInfo told GeekWire Tuesday. In total, ZoomInfo now has nearly 2,000 employees.
Insent’s co-founder and CEO, Arjun Pillai, will become ZoomInfo’s vice president of strategic growth. Insent co-founder and CTO Prasanna Venkatesan will become vice president of engineering.
In a blog post, ZoomInfo founder and CEO Henry Schuck said the acquisition would more tightly integrate the company’s workflow.
“It supports our strategy to identify and acquire technologies that are made better by our data,” Schuck wrote. “Technologies that allow sales, marketing, and recruiting professionals to activate our data through automated data-driven engagement result in higher conversion, more meetings and pipeline, and ultimately more revenue and ROI for our customers.”
The acquisition isn’t expected to have a material impact on the financial year 2021, according to a press release.
Other recent ZoomInfo acquisitions include buying Komiko, a Seattle-area CRM startup, and email verification startup NeverBounce.
