GeekWire’s Elevator Pitch startup competition is back with the final episode of the season, featuring three entrepreneurs pitching their sustainability-focused startups.
Now in its third season, this video series — presented by WestRiver Group — follows startup leaders as they pitch their companies during the 32-second ride to the top floor of Seattle’s Smith Tower.
The winner of episode four will join the winners of episodes one, two and three and go head-to-head in a live, on-stage finale on Oct. 6 at the 2022 GeekWire Summit in downtown Seattle.
The newest episode, which you can watch below, features three CEOs from Seattle-area startups developing sustainability-related products and services:
- Katherine Sizov, CEO & co-founder of Strella Biotechnology, creators of sensing technology that predicts the ripeness of produce;
- Manan Pathak, CEO & co-founder of BattGenie, which aims to enable faster charging and longer battery cycle life for electric vehicles, consumer electronics and other battery applications;
- Nigel Sharp, CEO & co-founder of Aquagga, a company setting out to destroy PFAS, or so-called “forever chemicals.”
When the elevator door opens, the three CEOs face our panel of judges: Anthony Bontrager, managing director of WestRiver Group; Maria Colacurcio, CEO of Syndio and winner of Elevator Pitch season two; and Kirby Winfield, founding general partner of Ascend.vc. The judges will determine the fourth and final winner who will advance to the finals next week at the 2022 GeekWire Summit.
