It’s time for a new episode of GeekWire’s Elevator Pitch! This week’s installment of our startup pitch competition focuses on the fast-growing financial technology market, featuring three companies looking to make their mark in this highly competitive sector.
Now in its third season, this video series – presented by WestRiver Group – follows startup leaders as they pitch their companies during the 32-second ride to the top floor of Seattle’s Smith Tower.
On this episode, three CEOs pitch their fintech startups with the goal of helping others build capital, maximize their finances and securely save for the future.
- Henny Damian, co-founder and CEO of Joola, a savings and rewards app for friends and family to build access to capital;
- Shahar Plinner, co-founder and CEO of Formations, a financial management solution that specializes in helping self-employed individuals maximize their financial potential, and pay less taxes;
- Devin Miller, co-founder and CEO of SecureSave, a purpose built emergency savings solution designed to help people feel and be financially secure.
When the elevator door opens and the CEOs step onto the 35th floor, they face our panel of judges: Anthony Bontrager, managing director of WestRiver Group; Maria Colacurcio, CEO of Syndio and winner of Elevator Pitch season two; and Kirby Winfield, a longtime Seattle entrepreneur and founding general partner of Ascend.vc.

The winners of each of the four episodes of season three will clash in a high-stakes live, on-stage finale, taking place on October 6 at the 2022 GeekWire Summit.
